Good morning everyone! Time for me to catch you up on Friday and Saturday :)

How was your weekend? Anyone that live in the Ventura/Santa Barbara area go to Fiesta’s, or the fair? We went Saturday and had a blast!

Friday

Friday morning started off with a Green Smoothie, and then a walk downtown with Marco.

After our long walk, I came home and got ready for the Gym. I went for my 3mi run that I’ve promised to do with my accountability partner M/W/F’s. Somedays I like running on the treadmill so much more than outside. It helps me keep a steady pace.

When I got back, I had some eggs + leftover broccoli from the night before. I thought I’d like this even more than the Brussel Sprouts, but I don’t. I like the Brussel Sprouts more. They’re so good!

For lunch, I packed a salad with Mandarin Oranges, avocado, and trek mix nuts

To take for snacks, I packed strawberries and dried mangos

For dinner, I had half a can of Vegetarian Chili. It was good… But it actually gave me a bit of a stomach ache. I’ve really been noticing my stomach aches more often now. I am feeling so good all the time, that when I get a stomach ache I know I’ve eaten something wrong. It’s really helping me get to know my body. I’ve done best so far on fruits and veggies. Chicken, eggs and fish have been okay too. But certain nuts, beans, and certain milks (soy) have been upsetting my stomach.

Anyone have the same response to those foods? Just a bloaty, uncomfortable stomach ache.

For dessert, an Organic Nectarine. Yum!

Saturday

Saturday morning also started off with a green smoothie on our way to the Gym. I took a Step Class, and it was so fun, but so hard! About 45 minutes into the class the teacher slowed the music down and said “whoops! We’ve been going too fast!” Haha, ironically, when she slowed the music down after all of that speed it seemed to get even harder!

After the Gym, I made eggs + potatoes for Marco and I. This has been our weekend thing since we’ve been house sitting!

This week is our last week here, we’re really going to miss it.

After breakfast, Aubs picked us up and we headed out to Santa Barbara for Fiesta’s!

Look at this! This is a wagon! Everyone was taking pictures of this little girl, it was so cute!

By the way, all that confetti you see on the ground is from cracking confetti filled eggs on each others heads.

For lunch, we went out to the Santa Barbara Brewing Co. It was super good! I got a seared Ahi Salad for lunch. Mmm!

Dang.

I couldn’t NOT take a picture of this burger that Marco got. How good does that look?

Here’s Marco and I ready to swing at the fair (back in Ventura now). This ride, seriously. Crap. I know it’s not scary, but all I was imagining the whole time was, how can these little chains hold me up? Haha, when I got off, the first thing Aubrey and Marco said was “I don’t know how these little chains can hold us up.”

HI :)

We stayed at the fair for a while. We even watched a Hypnosis Show where the lady made people dance like JLO, think they won the lotto, and the best- Propose to his girlfriend of 5 years. Haha! I was laughing so hard the entire time I was crying. It was soo funny.

After the fair, around 8:30pm Marco and I sent out to use our Living Social Coupon to Spencer McKenzies. My Mom also buys those for us, it’s so awesome!

He ordered clam chowder, and I had a good amount. It was so delicious. He said he’s getting it everytime he goes there now.

For my dinner, I ordered another Ahi Salad with ginger dressing. I know, second Ahi Salad of the day. But there was no other grain free option there, and I knew if I just ate the inside of a taco that wouldn’t be enough for my hungry belly.

Such a fun day! Today, we’re having a Birthday Party for Marco’s Grandma with family at the house we are watching. So there will be lots of swimming, lots of cooking, and lots of Birthday singing :)

See you guys back here tomorrow! We are off to Church.
