Good morning everyone! Happy Friday! It’s my boys first day of his Christmas Break from work, so I’m happy! I pretty much have a Christmas break as well. I am only working a handful of days between now and January 6th, so it’s a sweet time for me too. What are your Holiday plans? Our are:

Tonight – Christmas Party

Christmas Eve – Church & family get together

Christmas – Marco’s family in the morning, my family in the afternoon, and Marcos family again in the evening

Dec. 26th – SNOWBOARDING!

Dec. 28th – Cousin’s babyshower in SJC

NYE – going to a huge party where there are going to be many Celebrations going on at once (my Mom’s retirement and Birthday, my Aunts Birthday, my Uncles Birthday, my Cousins Birthdays (yes, multiple), my Brothers Birthday, and the New Year.. I’m probably missing some). My family is huge! And I love it!

NY Day on the first

Jan 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th – Mom’s 60th Birthday and VEGAS with more family!

Hoooooray for the Holidays!

Tuesday

5:45 Gym time with my girls!

7:00 eggs & sourdough toast

11:30 lunch with Mom at Snapper Jacks. I was really craving a Veggie Burrito, so that’s what I got. I skipped the cheese & white creamy salsa they put in side, and saved half for later. This felt perfect :) I also enjoyed a handful of chips with tons of fresh salsa

After lunch, I did a little bit of Christmas shopping with Mom, and came home and worked through the evening. Hello! :)

Dinner was 6:00 and I had the other half of my burrito, a bit of my Mom’s leftover beans, and a corn burrito. Marco was having corn burritos for dinner, and it sounded good, so I had one to satisfy that flavor craving.

Wednesday

5:45 Gym

My Mom retired Wednesday! Congrats Mom!

I took her Starbucks on her last day. I figured it would be my last chance to treat her at work!

photo 4

12:00 lunch was thai curry soup, + a middle eastern flatbread with avocado & hummus

photo 5

6:00 dinner was lima bean soup. I skipped the bread. I wasn’t craving it since I had it at lunch.

Wednesday night my box of Arctic Zero showed up, which I was hoping to review.. I tasted one of the ice creams and didn’t have much more than a taste… has anyone had these? Can you point me to a flavor that’s good? I tried the Peanut Butter Chocolate and it tasted low-calorie… which it is… but I really don’t enjoy that! I’d rather have a small portion of the real stuff!

Wednesday night we went to our Church’s Christmas service

I ended the night with two squares of dark chocolate and some tea

Thursday

5:45 Gym

Thursday it was supposed to rain. When the forecast in Ventura says rain, we get a couple clouds. It was beautiful out! But I am excited for some rain when it comes.

7:30 I had Green Smoothie while watching Joel Fuhrman on TV. He says to remember the best things to eat are GOMBS.

Greens

Onions

Mushrooms

Beans/Berries

Seeds

He also says to have a Salad every day.

10:30 I was hungry again. I guess a smoothie doesn’t hold me over as long as my eggs & toast ;)

Salad with Greens, Onions, Mushrooms, and Flaxseeds… I made my own dressing in the blender too! A tiny bit of olive oil, ACV, lemon, dijon mustard, and flaxseed. I also had split pea soup

photo 5

12:00 before I left for babysitting, I had a middle eastern flatbread with turkey, avocado, and greens. I felt like I needed some healthy fat & protein. This held me over until 7:00

At 7:00 I made dinner. While making dinner, I tasted a piece of Marco’s big ol’ cheese circle which he got from work. Yum… this was a treat because as you can probably tell, I don’t do much dairy!

photo 2

Dinner was Mahi Mahi, asparagus, quinoa w/ zucchini, and avocado… Yummy! Felt like being back at our apartment :)

photo 3

Dessert was two small squares of fudge for Marco, and two small squares for me. My Auntie Rhonda makes fudge every year, and this year I’ve been holding off on the sweets so that I could enjoy the fudge when it came. So good :)
