6:30 quiet time, cozy on the couch with coffee, water, and a blanket
7:00 eggs & toast
10:00 tea with one of my readers! Hi Kayla!
Note, at Coffee Bean I got half passion tea, with half steamed coconut almond milk
I don’t know if I’ve talked about this before, but the past… hmm… 6 months? I’ve been having choking problems sometimes. These problems don’t always happen, but when they do, they scare the living crap out of me. The worst was when I was in Ojai, picking up one of the little ones I watch. I literally could not breathe – I couldn’t use my words, I couldn’t tell anyone what was wrong, I was embaressed, red, and completely scared.. I found a water fountain quickly, and was able to breathe with water, but this was so bad.. At this point, I was sure that my allergy was out door related, I emailed an allergist, and was going to get this figured out..
A couple of days later, I was having tea with a Client, and my throat started to tighten up.. I started to look around Coffee Bean for water, just so I knew where it was if I stopped breathing (that’s how scary and tight this feels). At the same time, I was telling my Client about my tea, how it was passion tea with half steamed…. SOY….
I stopped in my tracks and a lightbulb went off… ANY time this has happened, I have been drinking soy milk….. flashbacks started hitting….
On the way back from Catalina when my throat was feeling scary tight, I had just had a soy latte
While I was walking with one of the little ones I babysit, we were walking back from getting green tea with half steamed soy
While I was driving to Ojai, the day I choked the worse, I was drinking chai tea with half steamed soy
While I was walking downtown with a Client, and my throat only slightly tightened, chai latte with soy…
Okay, as I’m writting this it seems obvious I don’t need to see an allergist, and I’ve discovered the problem… but for a few weeks I am going to stay away from soy and see if the problem goes away… I hope I’ve found it because I’m sooo done with this whole throat tightening thing…
Anyone else allergic to soy, or something else that makes their throat feel tight and scratchy?

1:30 leftover chicken adobo with tomatoes and salad
3:30 banana
5:00 4 carrots with hummus… haha, I was trying to somehow picture this super quick snack
8:00 a late dinner of quinoa pasta with broccoli, pesto, and parmesan cheese
Alrighty! Time for me to be done with work for the day, make some tea, and watch a New Girl… this show is too addicting! My favorite way to end the day
